Summer Fun

Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in over a month, but continue to read the posts almost daily.
The ex and I decided to lower our asking price on the house to hopefully speed up the sale of it. I've been at my parents and taking good care of myself.

Now that school's out, my daily scheduled routines are gone which can be hard to get used to for me. I'm so used to always having to do something or be so stressed about saying and doing the right thing around the ex. Now it's time for summer fun! I bought some clothes I wouldn't normally have worn, saw the movie The Breakup with my sister (which I really enjoyed) and this weekend have been hanging out at my aunt's pool.

I'm enjoying just discovering who I really want to be. Now I only wish I was younger with the knowledge I have now. I feel as if I've missed out on meeting new friends and missed opportunities and activities. I seem to want to make up for lost time. Anyone else felt this way? I won't get too carried away with my summer fun! I can't afford it anyway.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I think we've all felt that way at least a time or two in our lives! I'm glad you posted and it sounds like you are doing well. It is NEVER too late to put yourself out there, make new friends, find new opportunities staring you in the face, to create opportunity,... Try not to think of all you've "lost," but instead of all the wisdom you've gained so that you will be better able to appreciate all the things yet to come.

Enjoy your weekend, your summer and the rest of your life!
