(Aspouse, you may get a real kick out of this one so be sure your mouth isn't full of cola or something)
Ah sent me an e mail saying he doesn't mean to steal DR. Phils line or anything but "our relationship needs a hero" and he's decided to be that hero.
um, WHAT?
a hero? he's going to be the bigger person now?

OMG Sunshine! Is my AH over there feeding your AH lines or what??? That is too freaking hillarious.
Honey....your relationship already has a hero and it is YOU!!!!!
Hope your evening goes well and he doesn't notice the boxes.
X fingers crossed.

Too late, buster.
Hon, I reckon he's picked up the vibes from you. One thing I learnt only a few months ago is that manipulators like your hubby and my ex have been doing this stuff for a loooong time and get very skilled at reading situations, even when we think they are total dumbasses. The day I decided to submit a claim to the court was the day my ex diverted 2 cheques away from the business. It was no coincidence, although I didn't utter a word. He picked up the fact that I had had enough of his nonsense and he knew the game was up, despite me thinking that I was playing it all very neutral.
And yes, hubby has probably decided to be the bigger person - but only as far as he can feel some sense of having the upper hand when you leave. Part of the pattern of denial. Betcha.

As Kenny Rogers says,
if you’re gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.
You got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
ooo, ooo, ooo, I like the caped hero's! What a jerk, he's squirming.
A hero of all things, couldn't he come up with anything better and since when does he watch/read Dr. Phil, who I am losing more and more respect for on a weekly basis!

Amen to that prayer answered
You know when I first read this I really felt sorry for the guy..... It must be awful sitting in the position he is sitting, knowing in his heart that it has gone too far.... and Yes I do believe they hurt and have hearts.
But then I remember the lies and manuplation I went through, how he stood right in my face and lied with tears in his eyes..... That is what I have to remember.... Actions Baby
But if he puts on a red cape you just have to tell us *giggles*

I'd almost feel sort of sorry for his position also cynay, but then I remember the fact that as I sat home, taking care of a newborn and two other children, he was out screwing some girl.....then coming home and doing the same with me and welp....just can't bring myself to do that. What's more, ALL HE EVER HAD TO DO WAS TELL ME!
okay, back to the cape, minnie, that was a bit over the top funny. While he changes tonight and I catch a glimpse of him in his undies, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep a straight face tonight!
