Thanks, everyone.
It's been a long day. I tried to get Public Assistance but the 22,000 a year I make is too much $. I should be able to get medical as soon as the insurance for this month runs out. Better than nothing. We spent a good part of the morning at court I saw him for 2 minutes while the judge explained the order of protection. My brain and emtions are starting to stir up a tornado inside of me. I don't like not knowing what to expect. I have night class tonight and if I stay for that it will be one day down and then think about getting through tomorrow, tomorrow. Thanksgiving will be a toughy and my 15 year olds birthday is Sunday, he's daddy's little man so he isn't going to take it well.
One day a time,
J

Follow your instincts...no matter what
I have been in your shoes...
A protective order is a piece of paper...but better to have one than to
not...just remember that it's paper...and if he's angry...be prepared...
My ex worked at a prison...he was fired 2 times...(they have a huge union)
He was on meth...never got caught for that "officially"...
You know what he is thinking...Protect yourself...your children will follow better knowing that you are strong...and you are right to handle business now...and have a cry later...it really stinks but thank gosh you got help from the police. I went round and round with them...and then the judges 6 times because the ex had a badge...and no one wanted to be the one who got him fired...
You are stronger and wiser than you know...Stuff like this happens to nice girls and we just have to move forward. But the new friends you make will be there...without the drugs and the lies....~Peace
