finally............i am going to an open aa meeting at 5:30--i need to be around HOPE.........and i am going to an alanon meeting at 8pm.....i hope that both are still going on,with people there,despite the holiday.....first alanon meeting i found here,when i called the intergroup line.........i need the understanding most of all..................................

Good for you. I sometimes go to as many as three different meetings a week. You will find different groups have a slightly different chemistry but all the groups are really helpful. Try to buy some of the Alanon books - they are very comforting, especially when there is a crisis going on.

You are taking some positive steps and taking care of yourself.

i went. and am so glad that i did. i will be returning to both next monday. had a nice conversation with my oldest son....................at least i can return to work tomorrow without carrying all that crap with me........it blew up with the fireworks i saw on the way home,i think!!!!!
