I'm giving myself an ATTAGIRL!
My newbie recovering AH is on a business trip and was due back 8 hours ago. Before he hung up on me last night, he agreed to be home in time to watch our kids so I could go to a rehearsal. When he didn't arrive on time (or yet, now 10 hours later), he fully expected me to call him.
I DIDN'T!
He sheepishly called right before my rehearsal started and I acted as if nothing was wrong. I said that the kids and I were going to rehearsal and we'd see him when he got home.
You could just see the pee running down his leg.

There would've been a time not so long ago that I would've been upset that he 1) didn't have any common courtesy to at least call me and let me know so I could get a babysitter - or - 2) enabled him to be mad at me for being mad at him.
Oh, and I went one step further. When he *did* arrive 11 hours late, I had already closed up the house and was asleep. He called and I said sweetly, "Yes, the back door is unlocked. If you use the garage door opener I gave you last month then the back door is open and the kitchen light is on so you can see. " Hmmmmm, then he had to come clean and say that he "forgot" the opener so he couldn't get in the house and would I please come and open the door?
I did go and unlock the door but I did so with my robe half open so he could see my new set giant set of shiny brass balls.
