Dear Friends, This is just another update of my situation. I am the one with the 24 year old AD. We have some pretty stable months with only a few flare ups of "dumb drunk attacks ". But we always hold our breathe because we will always live with the disease and know that it can rear its ugly head. We pray that the good behavior will last, we pray that it is God's will that she lives a clean and good life. We even dare to hope that she will one day get married and have children. A nice Norman Rockwell vision. Of course, we know that nothing is ever perfect...especially someone who battles alcoholism. We pray that it is God's will that she leads a normal and God fearing life. We are praying right a long with you. Please remember that your life can remain calm whether she decides to quit drinking or not. You don't have to be controlled by alcohol. It's your choice just as it is her's.
