Sending positive vibes and thoughts from AZ to CO. As a mom of a son about to enter adulthood, I know he will be facing these struggles himself and I know it's hard as a parent to watch our kids face life's challenges especially when we can't fix it for them.....no matter their age.

So I talked to the kiddo, and he wasn't feeling real talkative. I asked how classes were going, and he's dropped out. I asked what happened, and he said he was having major anxiety attacks and was all stressed out at the prospect of the student loans. That kinda bums me out, though I tried not to express too much dismay. I commented that his next job might lead him in a different direction, so maybe he'll decide to pursue a different career path. He quit school before the announcement about the buyout.

*sigh*

I'm sorry to hear this Lexie.

My small local job got taken over by a corporation about a year and a half ago. While we did not lose our jobs, it was a big change. Some good, and some bad.

Is he sure he will lose his job? I figured we would too, but surprisingly we did not.

I hope he continues to reach out to his business associates. I lost a job involuntarily before I worked here, and although it was traumatic at the time, it also ended up pushing me to make positive changes for myself.

Good vibes coming his way!
