update.
Hi everyone
Nothing major to report really.
Have a telephone interview for food stamps tomorrow.
I messaged the person in charge of hiring at the humane society that declined me an interview, told her who I was (that AH knows her and that my 17yo has dog sat for her in the past) told her that I am still very interested in working for the organization, that I am a huge animal lover and interested in animal rights, I asked her if there was anything I could do to increase my chances to get an interview the next time they have an open position.
She messaged me back and told me that she will definitely consider me for the next time they have a position open and to call her as she would be happy to conduct a preliminary interview over the phone. I'm going to call her tomorrow.
I've got applications in at other places but I just feel like this job would make me happy and be purposeful for me.
The daughter I wrote about the other night is okay, her bf has been "normal" and "fine" since the incident of course.
She's coming home to visit next weekend, so I'm waiting until i see her in person to talk to her about domestic violence issues, ect.

Thanks for the good report--good idea calling the person at the shelter. Knock 'em dead--hopefully you'll get considered for a job there, soon.

Wow PP, I'm super impressed by your initiative of ringing the Human Society woman. I also think you're very wise to wait until you see your DD in person to talk about DV, seeing it's no longer an emergency situation.

It's a good idea to get in touch with the shelter yourself rather than relying on your husband.
He'll just want to sabotage you.
