I needed this meltdown
I have always been the "strong one" "the comeback kid". Raised by an A military father I learned very early about the importance of the stiff upper lip.
I've also suffered the damage of that philosophy. I didn't cry, but I could stuff my emotions with food. For the first time in forever I resisted a binge. I fought it as hard my XAB ever fought his addiction. I started surfing YouTube music vids to distract myself. I came across a song that cut me in half.

What couldn't be stuffed, erupted. I cried hysterically for a half hour. I'm spent, but it felt good to get out. In detaching from the A's in my life, I had also detached from myself.
I hope to find ME again. I think I might like myself
