Not sure if any of this resonates for anyone but figured I'd share this resource. I'm listening to today's video on Codependency (Amber Smith) & it's not bad. Tomorrow Mackenzie Phillips is doing a talk on Shame that I'm interested to hear - her book was amazing.

I think this conference focuses on holistic healing in addiction (not just alcohol addiction, it seems like they address addiction entirely.... i.e. food addiction) & the conference runs from Feb 6 - 11, so there will be more videos available in the coming days.

Hey Firesprite! Thanks for posting this! I managed to watch 3 of these videos and I hope to catch a smattering of the last few days. For me dealing with someone 21 mo out they are very helpful in that they are looking past the first stretch of recovery ( those 24 hour days and rebuilding basic trust).

And they address codependency too! For once 'we' get addressed at the same time. Which for me, makes sense. My RAH and I have very similar core issues that manifested differently.

I'm glad you all are finding them helpful, I was happy to stumble across it myself.

CJ, I'm also excited to see it all addressed as a group recovery... addicts & codies alike. Core issues similar/different manifestations... yes, totally relate to that! I'm off to pull up today's topics..... after reading Mackenzie Phillips book a few years ago I am REALLY interested in her POV regarding shame.
