How will you live today?

I know we are all in different and/or similar situations but we are all working for the same goal - serenity, peace, etc.

Personally I know that I am in control of my OWN attitude and feelings, not of others around me. A positive attitude can be contagious; as can a smile or a good deed.

So how will you live today? Will you live in someones shadow in fear and worry or will you step out into the light and breathe on your own?

Find one thing that you can do for yourself today and enjoy it, because we should live One Day at a Time!

My one thing for today - making my girls their fav breakfast, chocolate chip muffins. The smile on their faces made my day and warmed my heart.

Blessing and happiness to all of you!!

Just wanted to share, thanks for stopping by

I am spending the day with my 3 year old niece. She thinks I am the best and I love her to bits. We will color in coloring books, play with play doh, and all sorts of fun things. Being with her fills me with joy and love.

I am going to go for a ride on my motorcycle today to somewhere peaceful. Riding itself is therapeutic for me. I love the freedom I feel and your enhanced sense as you ride down the road smelling all the smells of things around you, something you can't really do in a car even with the windows down. Ending up at a peaceful destination is icing on the cake.

Think I will stop what I am doing and go read my Al Anon literature and journal a bit.

That should start my day off on a positive note.

honey. We share the same therapeutic outlet. A day on a bike sort of re-starts my whole outlook on things. People that don't ride, don't get it.

I can drive 3 hours to nowhere and feel like I have been on vacation.

Well, I'm caring for a kid with stomach flu... ... so I guess the day could have started better.

On the good side, it means I can drink my coffee and have breakfast calmly & quietly instead of zooming off to work in rush hour traffic.

I get to help out in my two youngest daughters' preschool class today. They are so fun to watch it's always a good time: ) They are excited to have me there too. I am also home from work to pick my oldest up from the bus stop. I love seeing him smiling and waving when he pulls up. It's the small things.

Yes, don't forget the "good side".

My husband is in rehearsals at the moment so we are on totally opposite schedules. So tonight, instead of moping around flipping channels, I am going to dedicate some time to tidying up my closet and dresser so I feel a bit more inspired when I get dressed for work in the morning than I did today...it sounds like a chore but I actually enjoy this!

And I might add that today on my lunch hour I treated myself to a trip to my favorite store AND I bought something, for ME!

Today, like every day, I am going to make sure that whatever I do is in my own best interests. May not necessarily be to my liking, because, well, sometimes the medicine just tastes terrible, doesn't it? At this point, I can pretty much guaran-d@mn-tee it's not going to be to Someone Else's liking, but it won't hurt him either. If it benefits him too, well that's just great, but helping him at the expense of my own health/sanity is no longer an option. Selfish? Probably, but in the best possible way.

I am at work now, but when I get home I am making meatballs alfredo over pasta and I may surprise my kitty with a little tuna. Cooking relaxes me and I love to enjoy a glass of wine while I cook, BUT......the budget is tight this week and I don't have any in the house and that's OK too!!

When XA was around having alcohol in the house was priority one.
It's liberating not to have that as the focus of everything.
