LOL! Same to you, Yurt!!! I'm driving down to Tucson today so we're doing a quick Thanksgiving meal and then I'm free for a few days while my son plays tennis at a tourney.

My counselor friend invited DD and me to celebrate at his best friend's home in the Phoenix area. So, I jumped at the chance. We have not experienced a "normal" holiday with a "normal" family for many years. I am looking forward to the rest of the day (waiting for my poppy seed rolls to finish baking).

Awesome! Couldn't have asked for better weather. Be safe driving down here, that road through Wickenburg is so dangerous. I swear I break out in a sweat when I see people trying to pass when they shouldn't be! Hey, too bad I won't be home later. I live up near Lake Pleasant, just south of Carefree Highway. Make sure you wave at me as you go by!

I will be very careful driving on this holiday weekend. Because our destination is Buckeye, we will actually pick up Vulture Mine Road in Wickenburg and avoid most of the metropolitan area traffic. It's a route that is new to me, so I am looking forward to the drive (and my friend is looking forward to an extended nap; hmmm....). On the way back, however, we will be taking 60, so I will definitely wave when I see the signs for Lake Pleasant. If my DD has another archery shoot there this year, I may come down with her and maybe we can have coffee.
