Just had a run
Well more like walk/run (Im trying the couch to 5k program and Verrrrry out of shape). I'm hot and sweaty and feel a bit like I'm going to keel over, but my mind is a little clearer
TerpGal,
Running is just amazing for clearing one's head--and eliminating physical stress symptoms like muscle tension, and helping with sleep--which is something I really have trouble with. I've been struggling with a touch of quadriceps tendinitis lately, so I haven't been running as much as I like--but I think I'm on the mend now. Keep with it--it's a super-valuable coping mechanism to have.

TerpGal, exercise of ANY kind has been shown to have a very positive effect on mental health and stress levels. Keep on w/that Couch to 5K--I think you'll find that it helps you in ways you never expected, not to mention the sense of achievement when you reach your goal.
I think this is a great thing for you to be doing and I hope you continue.

I just completed couch to 5k and ran my first 5k. Keep going, you will feel so empowered after you accomplish what you set out to do. I never ran a day in my life and I am 46. If I can do it you can too!
