Hi everyone
New on this forum just saying hi.
My boyfriend has been sober for over a year now, I'm really proud of him and it has changed our lives so much. Although he has ups and downs and sometimes its tough, I feel a sense of peace in my soul. Although I still do worry sometimes its no way as much as I used to when he was drinking.
Just here to offer support and my experiences, maybe they can help someone out there

Hi Mysocalledlife, and welcome to the forum. This is a great place to share experience and support.
Congratulation to your boyfriend on his sobriety! You're right to be proud of him proud. Is he working a program to help him maintain his sobriety as he moves forward?
Many of us here have found that that calm time, when our qualifiers aren't actively drinking, is a great time to work on ourselves. So much of our time and energy can be spent focusing on them, and their issues, that we tend to neglect our own needs, and personal development. As you said, even the ups and downs of sobriety can be tough.
Are you doing anything for yourself?
