I love my birthday this time of the year.
December, Winter and a whole year to
enjoy a new number. Having a birthday
in recovery makes my birthday have
more meaning. Im more appreciative
and grateful for this wonderful sober
gift.
23 yrs. sober, 55 yrs. old, and life seems
to get better with age.
In recovery, ive learned about being
responsible. Responsible for myself,
my recovery, relationships, my health
and well being, my happiness, my
responsibility to passing on my own
experiences, strengths and
hopes to others, my Faith and beliefs,
taking care of my needs and wants.....
All with the help of a recovery program
and faith in a HP for guidance, care, love,
patience etc. ...even my birthday.
I got a new tattoo for my birthday and
Im happy with it because I got what I
wanted which took the disappointment
out of getting what I don't want, need or like.
