This guy was never mean to me, or abusive, or I'd have ditched him a lot sooner. He got totally unreasonable when hammered. One nite at the local pub he got wasted and actually had the nerve to spit at two off duty police who were dancing a little to close to our table for his liking! I nearly fell off my chair. He said he didnt like police in "his" pub! Good grief. We knew they were police because the woman had dropped her wallet on the floor and I picked it up and it flipped open and there was her badge! Had I known doofus would react so badly I'd never have told him they were police. He also gave them "the finger" just for good measure. Luckily they didnt notice any of this but I sure did.

Hubby and I left shortly after that, as I was beyond appalled. He stayed to close the place, as was his habit. Next day, massive apologies to me. That really was the beginning of the end for me with regards to him.
