Day 53 Cant deal with my Dad
I feel selfish but I'm finding it really hard to go round to see my Dad.
I know this is going over old ground (if you look at my old posts) but I can't bring myself to go and see my Dad in the state he's in.
It's just tears and him feeling sorry for himself constantly!! And I'm not good with it!! I don't know what to say or do to help.
He doesn't want to give up drinking and I hate my Daughter seeing him in the states he gets in, he can hardly keep his eyes open

Then you don't have to see him. It's really very simple.
If it makes you feel better, and if you believe in it, you can pray for him. But there is no rule that you have to spend time with him under these circumstances. You have been a loving child. But there really doesn't seem to be anything more you can do for him.
