Rewired

I am the AW and no I never cheated. I am 15 months sober. I never had a desire to cheat even while drinking. Although my husband did cheat on me using my alcoholism as a reason (I understood and I would have forgave him). But you see now that he has done that he assumes I am or did. He told me he was done and didn't love me. Did it hurt yes but it was at that point that I decided to do the work I needed to do. You see I never want to have to rely on someone for happiness. His cheating on me was probably the best thing he did for me. I drank because I didn't value myself and over time I realize that he never really valued me. I hope this makes sense. We alcoholics are not all heartless
Sometimes we just get lost for a while.
