Hello everyone. I am new here. and to all of this.
Hi. I am 24 years old, and for all of my life I've been coping with my father's drug addiction.
For the past 2 years, he has been on methodone and seems to be doing well. They took him off of the methodone several months ago, and he attempted suicide. They now have since put him back onto the treatment.
I have never really spoken about my problems to many people. I feel it is the basis of all my problems I have had.
I hope I am doing this right. Give me time. I'm getting there. Thanks for listening and for your patience.

We're listening...... feel free to "talk" about any issue here. Lots of us are in different places, but share so many of the same feelings. I have a particular heart for you, a daughter, because I have 3 daughters, and often wonder what all of this madness will look like to them when they are older. I'm trying to just be honest and give them skills to make wise choices, but all the love in the world can't shield them from all the chaos in the world. I'll be praying for you and know that no matter how sick your father has been, seemed to be, he probably loves you as much as he can, and it probably just never feels like enough..... I'm so sorry, and I hope what you find here can help you with your own choices and the way you see yourself. We're here for you, take care!

I chose my name because I love old movies and that's what they called women. tomatoes. haha.
