Well if that isn't a lesson on perspective, I don't know what is.
I saw the picture..and the first thought I had was "Wow, she's got it together for being an alcoholic, holding flowers and everything"
....
scroll down, and the first comment is about him being an alcoholic.
First hand lesson in how we see what we want to see, regardless of the truth.

i dont know whats funnier, that picture? or us and the replies
I remembered this image because recently I saw the building manager / a really old lady. I told her I was no longer living in the apartment and I was no longer with the boyfriend I had (she met him and he even told her he wanted to marry me yadda yadda)
She answered "but now what will you do??" and she was genuinely very sad. I felt bad to let her down ... I was like.. "mmmm... continue living?" lol
This prompted the thread... I could have stayed with the psycho and he could have stayed with me all his life.. oh, because those areas are VERY traditional... here in Mexico there are REALLY conservative states. And you STAY in the marriage, no matter what.
