I know I shouldn't but I'm already a sensitive person and I just can't help it. Last night after another 12 hour day I get home to him drinking wine and I was in a good mood making small talk. He actually bought dinner like I asked but somehow we were completly out of dogfood so I asked what I think is a simple question of 'why didn't you buy any dog food too or tell me we needed some?'(he feeds them most weekdays). He told me I was being a smartass but I can't be one because I'm not smart. I told him to just stay home and id go to thanksgiving with my family alone. Of course I feel bad about that this morning and ask him if he would like to come but he refuses. Ugh I wish I had the money to afford a place on my own!

I agree, just walk away..that's what I did.

You might consider, saying what you mean and meaning what you say. If he knows that you
change your mind all the time he will use it against you.
