My hubby is an A. He moved out almost 4 montha ago. He's not in recovery. He sent me an e-mail . wants to get together to talk! How do I tell him tactfully that I'm not interested in talking to him until he gets into AA? I know he's getting nervous because I have been avoiding him to keep out of all the "alcoholic craziness'.
I would appreciate any input!

You don't have to be tactful. Just tell him what you said in your post. You aren't interested in talking to him until he gets into a recovery program. There is nothing wrong with that. You are looking out for yourself by wanting to stay away from him while he is drinking. That is a good thing.

Thanks Gabe. I needed to hear that. I'm still new to this detachment thing! Still trying to be nice--- am I ever gonna learn?
