And a chance to celebrate all that is positive about half of the world's population. I get downhearted reading these boards sometimes and see that violence against women is still so prevalent, even in the West where the fight for equality and dignity and freedom from violence has been fought for decades.

My recovery has led me to a place where I am angry. Not at one man, not even about my own situation, but about the injustices that women face both in my own country and across the world. It's a good angry, though. It means I'm paying attention. And I am grateful that I have a way to channel that anger into something positive and ACT. I will be going to a Join Me On The Bridge event tomorrow and will be thinking of each and every one of the women on SR and all the other women across the world who are triumphing in the face of adversity in a world that should be safe for them.

So, to all of you lovely women, I salute you.
