Who are you?
Who are you?
Okay, cutelittlewife's question about this has inspired me to start a thread.
Who am I?
I am creative.
I am deeply spiritual, and not religious at all.
I am determined, but not rigid.
I am most at peace in nature.
I am beautiful, even in sweats with no makeup.
These are the things I like about myself, but also:
I can be judgemental and self-righteous
I can be overcome by self-doubt
I can allow my thoughts to spin out of control
I sometimes do the wrong thing, even when I know the right thing
My goal in life is to be more of my "higher self," and less of my ego.
Who are you?

Wonderful idea, LTD! Thanks for starting this thread.
Who am I?
I am intelligent and think well on my feet.
I am deeply spiritual and open-minded.
I am kind and forgiving.
I am a good mother.
I am a good friend.
These are the things I like about myself, but also:
I can be naive and too quick to trust
I can get too set on MY way of doing things
I can be too slow to ask for help
I can get overwhelmed by life and procrastinate on important things
I sometimes do the wrong thing, even when I know the right thing (I just have to leave this as it is...ugh)
I aspire to become the person I see glimpses of (more and more often these days)...someone who acts in her own best-interest and doesn't apologize for doing so.

Awesome idea, LaTeeDa!
One of the people in AlAnon commented they found this on a bumper sticker:
"Religion is for people who want to get to Heaven. Spirituality is for people who have gone through Hell."
Who am I?
I am inventive. I am a thinker and a solver.
I am creative. I am smart.
I am cheerful, happy, and smile all the time. (Imagine that! After everything! I had truly forgotten this.)
I am a dreamer and a poet.
These are the things I like about myself, but also:
I am stubborn.
I am sensitive.
I am a perfectionist and a procrastinator.
I am learning to be comfortable in my own skin.
I am learning that not all comments are criticism.
I am learning that not all criticism is bad.
I am learning that there is a difference between sharing my triumphs and just simply bragging.
I am learning to stop worrying, and start seeing where life takes me.
I am learning that not all problems have solutions, and that not all problems need solutions.
I am finding myself.
I am currently working on worrying less, and just doing my best (within reason - not perfection), and letting things unfold however they will.

I love threads like these!!!
Who am I?
I am PINK! Which represents courage, hopeful, brave, determined, kind, considerate, compassionate in a HEALTHY way, and resourceful.
The God of my understanding has given me (and continues to help me with) the abilty to share my experience, strength and hope with others in a way to comfort and encourage them. (for someone with only a Highschool education - it never cease to amaze me the words that flow from God thru me to others to help comfort)
These are the things I like about myself, but also:
I still allow others and myself to overload my schedule because I never want to say NO.
AND when I'm tired ~ I'm way too emotional!!
I will always wish I weighed 5 -10 pounds less.
I still battle with the voices inside of me that scream "You are not enough, you never have been and you never will be." ~ ugh I hate those voices!
I love these quotes from the posts above (thanks so much):
I am learning that not all problems have solutions, and that not all problems need solutions. from StarCat
I am a work in progress, not a statue of perfection. from Rayn3dr0p
PINK HUGS to all!!

Who am I?
I am a veteran and proud of my service.
I am a recovering alcoholic with over 14 years sober.
I am a kind and compassionate person.
I always see both sides of a dispute.
I am studying buddhism as a life philosphy and spiritual practice.
I have a wicked sense of humor.
Things I am working on:
Impatient and judgmental, with others and myself.
Losing weight, but procrastinating on it.
Learning to trust others.
Being open to a possible relationship,
but I am terrified of being hurt.
ACA issues.

Who am I?
I am a mother.
I am a daughter.
I am a lover and a friend.
I am a perpetual student and a natural teacher.
I am an artist and a dancer.
I am a sci-fi loving geek.
I am beautiful, au naturel, stretch marks and few extra pounds included.
What I'm working on...
Loving myself
Being patient with my toddler
Being impatient and short-tempered
Always wanting to plan every single thing for the next 45 years of my life.

Always wanting to plan every single thing for the next 45 years of my life.
I am green and purple and all the shades of grey.
I am intelligent and a questioner,
I am capable and self-sufficient,
I am creative and full of ideas,
I am loyal,
I can find beauty that lifts me in tiny details of nature and design, even if the whole is ugly.
I experience unconditional love on a daily basis.
I am happy, I am no longer on anti-depressants and I have joy in my life every day.
I really like my own company and thoughts
that's the stuff I like about myself
I see spelling and punctuation as suggestions for other people to follow
I'm not a finisher or a planner.
I am shy and introverted and prone to depression.
I am neither religious nor spiritual.
I can only remember the first 2 instructions in a list of directions to get somewhere
I lose words frequently
I am untidy
I love the great outdoors, but preferably with a pane of glass between me and it, and a roaring fire.
Those are the things I accept about myself, I have viewed them as negatives in the past, but now I accept them as part of who I am with understanding and with a love for myself as a whole worthwhile being, just as I am.
I am impatient and quick to judge
I give the benefit of the doubt too much (because I'm aware of the first one).
I don't spend enough (any) time caring for my physical self beyond the basics required for hygiene.
I am tired to my bones and need to sleep much more.
I get so anxious and nervous that sometimes I can't speak to even good friends/family.
These are the things I would like to prioritise to work on in the coming year

Who am I?
I am creative, see patterns, and find solutions intuitively.
I am a good listener and a loyal friend
I am full of love and quick to laugh
I am extroverted, yet fiercely protective of my own space/life
I am good at working hard and good at relaxing
When I am grounded in myself, and present in the moment, and feel the real me, I really, really like her.
I am often insecure about my skills and abilities
I don't say "no" often enough, and sometimes fake interest in listening to people because I know they need it even if I don't.
I use my humor to avoid dealing with problems
I used to be extremely judgmental, but losing weight (200 lbs of XH) helped with that attitude.

I like to lateral think.
I like to study patterns.
I like to jump paradigms like stepping stones in a river, just to see where they'll take me.
I like to bounce my human experience off the other humans around me.
I like to explore all the corners of human nature, every flavor.
I like to feel synchronization with others, but I love also to remain separate, private, independent.
I don't normally like to do what everyone else is doing, but in this thread I simply couldn't resist!
Great thread LTD.

I am a noticer and a chronicler, an aspiring writer.
I am a mother and guardian to 3 young children.
I am religious and spiritual.
I am actively learning and growing all the time.
I am a reader and a sleeper.
I am a dog lover. I like my cats, too.
I'm a fun mom and the captain of our ship.
I'm a displaced Southern belle.
I could stand to work on:
Being gentler with myself.
Setting form boundaries and not letting them bleed.
Being gentler with my friends.
Being more open to possibilities.
Being patient as others work through their issues and not think I know everything.

I like to explore the city, the state and the world. If I never take the same path twice, that would be OK with me.
I'm not fond of saying 'no', but I am learning that it helps with my sanity.
I'm a dad to two wonderful daughters
I like bowling - my passion since I was little.
I see numbers in many different ways.
I enjoy humor in many different forms.

I am down to earth.
I am funny.
I am cute as a button.
I am fun to be with.
I am lively and outgoing.
I am intelligent.
I am caring and compassionate.
I am gentle.
I am passionate.
I am all that and a bag of chips!
What I am not....
I am not always patient.
I am not always structured.
I am not always punctual.
I am not always relaxed.
I am sometimes too self critical.

I heart you, LTD!
I am intelligent.
I am often thoughtful and insightful.
I am creative.
I am the companion to a really great dog.
I am an outdoor enthusiast.
I am a nature lover - lover like Rumi loved God.
I am often self-doubting and look to others for answers.
I sometimes do the wrong thing, even when I know the right thing (thanks, LTD)
I am learning to make space for even that.
I can be judgemental, self-righteous, and hypocritical.
I can be terribly self-judgemental and perfectionistic.
I often know what would be a wise choice and I can't seem to make it or trust myself that it IS a wise choice.
I am learning to listen to myself and trust myself.
I sometimes procrastinate with or totally forget things that are important.
I am deeply earnest.
I am learning to stop worrying, and start seeing where life takes me. (thank you, StarCat)
I am learning that not all problems have solutions, and that not all problems need solutions. (thank you, StarCat)
I am learning to give myself space - its okay to be wherever I am.
I am still learning.
