What's with the tweets tab?
Is it just my browser, or is this or a normal fixture on this board? If it's a way to get some bucks to support good works...I understand that. Just surprised to see it on the left hand margin.
Hi Hurting, I wrote to contact email, but they said write to mulligangroup as they control website!!! Isn't it really obnoxious? Right in front of everything you want to look at quickly. The sooner everybody gets on their case, the better. Tried emailing the link but wouldn't load.
There is a tech forum on SR that tells you how to get rid of the tweet icon - but only if you use Firefox I think. Have a look: Technical Issues - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information
It makes me feel nervous - like at any moment someone could cut and past something you've posted and tweet it to the world...even though this is a public internet forum (and therefore all of our posts go out to the world!) that tweet tab just feels like an invasion or a spy! Perception.....

It links directly to the Twitter account for SR. Which is full of 'posts' about various treatment centers (ads.cough.ads), how to find them, etc..
Kinda freaky.. I almost want to post something, but I'm scared of what it will link back to! Totally lame IMO.

It's basically a tool for those members that use Twitter. If you log into your Twitter account via the Tweets tab then you can tweet directly to the SR Twitter page without having to go to the Twitter website and login there.
It's summat to do with making forums more social, an integration tool for VBulletin..like a plugin, you can get them for Facebook n stuff too. I can see it being useful for a lot of people, but seeing that you need to use your Twitter account, it kinda takes away the anonymity of SR for me so I won't be using it.

I went ahead and gave it a whirl with my twitter account.. all it did was post what my "comment" was on my own page, it had nothing to do with the SR page, or a link between the two.. so I think we're safe
