I swear AH has good news radar and calls to drag it down

I got really good news today about finally having enough saved and actually make enough to be able to buy a small condo. I get home, ready to tell my family, and AH returns son's call and takes the opportunity to b*** at me about not backing up his latest lie to our son. (He was not at work when he cancelled his last visit with his son - he was at a game.)

Meh. I'm trying really hard right now to shake off his call and get back to enjoying the good news. It was a lot of d___ hard work to get back on my feet after leaving AH. I deserve to celebrate reaching this stage.

Sometimes its like God is having fun with the irony.
I dislike soccer, and I went to the zoo well they had a monitor with the game, then game after game on the soccer field next to my apartment as if all Men in the World agreed to have matches between themselves.I go to work they talka bout soccer, I go to a conf room and a "friend" comes in and asks with hand signs if he can turn on the monitor and HE WANTED TO WATCH THE GAME. Come home BF is watching soccer. Whistles keep blowing and men keep swearing on the field.

Er, well, just breathe!! gently bring back the focus to your hard work yielding results, where it will be, which colors /furniture/style you'll prefer... not to be affected by toxicity around is a muscle that improves with practice....

CONGRATS!!!!!

Well done on getting back on your feet!! I had a mental picture of what my own place was going to feel like - thinking about it helped me through some of the crazy XAH threw my way and you're just that bit closer to it now!!

Congratulations!

I have often felt the same way about my XH. He would do things like call me on my birthday while I'm in Hawaii to tell me he met someone new. Most recently, I was asked to serve in a very cool role having to do with my career, and XH took that day to tell me he is again seeing the person he had an affair with a year ago.

They may indeed have a radar. I'm glad we can laugh at the irony of it.
