You and your sister are in my prayers.
When I was active, I did some really, really stupid things. Suicide crossed my mind a few times, though I never attempted it. I DID, however attempt it when I was at my worst as a raging codie, addicted to my alcoholic bf, more than once.
I hope you know that this has nothing to do with anything you've done or said. When we are deep in our addictions, we just don't THINK clearly. Today, I'm a compassionate, mostly sane
and reasonable person. When I was active, NONE of those words applied to me. I have loved ones who are A's, though, and despite the fact that I KNOW I'm not responsible for their actions, it still helps to hear it from someone else, so I thought it might help you to hear it.

Dear T2F, your sister and your family are in my thoughts and prayers right this minute, and shall be for as long as it is needed.
As you have already been told, none of this is due to anything you said, not said....done or not done, so leave any ideas of blaming yourself as far away as possible.
I do so hope this is her bottom, and as she gets better that she will embrace recovery and a new way of living.....without the demon drink.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers at this time. She is now out of the hospital and staying with my parents. I hope they have the strength to help her but keep their boundaries, and that this will be a turning point for her. Time will tell. I am seeing my therapist, which has been tremendously helpful for me. I know it's out of my hands. I sent her a message telling her that I love her and hope she will find a way to beat this. That's all I can say and do.

AH passed in Jan. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need someone to talk to PM me anytime. There are several support groups all over the country I dont know where you live but if you would like more info I would be honered to help.
