Even though this was an old thread, it sure hit close to home.
I was very attracted to a lady who finally agreed to go out with me. She started giving me mixed messages right away. Right after telling me what a great friend I was, she blocked me on social media.
Do I ever want to see her or talk to her again?

i wish it was the same for me. Every time he comes closer, then he cuts me off. He doesn't even want to talk to me and this makes me feel wrong. Like I keep doing something wrong. And still, I would run to him immediately, trying to find all the clues to solve his mistery.

Hi apegala, it's a common manipulation tactic actually. Whether he is doing it on purpose or not, it has the same effect.

Oh look here, I'll throw you a crumb (of attention, or kindness etc). Now I'll take it all away.

So you are left thinking, well where is the NICE person with the attention and kindness.

So back he comes with another crumb.

It's a horrible circle to be in.
