Very insightful, thank you...unfortunately, i didn't follow even one of thoese steps I thought i was doing it all right! Oh well, live and learn right!

Sojourner that was awesome, my wife got fed up and did every one of those & got this old drunk to hit his bottom and finally get sober!!!

When my only friend & help left in the world was my bottle I was left with a choice, get sober or drink myself to death.

That article was a sticky here in the "best of" section at one point. I bumped it so many times for newbies people probably got annoyed. I followed that process step by step as if my own sanity depended upon it, and it was the best thing I could have done for my situation.

Some how it got "unstuck".

it is still up there in the sticky part, probably in the "best of." i had not seen it before, though.
