I started my own business and now work half the hours I did before and make twice the money.
I use the extra time and the lack of stress from "what if????" to go back to college.
My little house is my little house and I know in every cell of my body that I could never again allow anyone in it who abuses me or makes me uncomfortable. Never.
I lost 20 pounds and am now (far) more fit than I was 20 years ago.
My regular blood pressure has dropped 10 points.
I like myself and think I'm fun.
I have lots more friends. And none of them are alcoholics.
If I want to, I can be alone, live alone, travel alone, grow alone......and I don't freak out any more.
If you could have seen the woman I was when I was still caught up in my A's life and choices and behavior, you literally would have thought she was some other person...friends I had during that time say they "hardly even recognize me" and they mean that in a good way.
These were the benefits for me of doing that terrifying thing and starting my own recovery. Never would go back in a million years!!

Lets see.
1. I have more money.
2. My life is peaceful
3. I have lost weight.
4. My blood pressure is no longer high.
5. I have learned sooo much about myself.
6. I received a promotion at work.
7. Selected to serve on the Board of Directors to a nonprofit agency that I truly believe in.
LIFE IS GOOD, when I decide that it all lies with me. I can succeed.
