Sober 75 Days

Well, life was finally good. We were truly happy for those 75 days.

Ron, my husband was on his way home from work. We thought it would be a good day for him to bring his motorcycle to the house. He was hit by a truck in front of our home where he died instantly on October 1, 2007.

I have so many different emotions atm. Hurt, anger, guilt (I always had to be the one to tuff love him).

He was truly happy those 75 days. There was simply a light in his eyes. A smile on his face.

I don't think I have ever missed anything so much nor been so sad. My one comfort is, he died sober.

I am so very very sorry for your loss. What a victory, though, for Ron that he was able to have those 75 days of sobriety ... smiles, peace, happiness! Again, I am so sorry, though!!! Many hugs to you!

I ride too, so your situation really comes through to me. My best to you and all of the family and friends you need to help make it through this. Dont neglect yourself, or your health, in dealing. The holidays are coming, and you want to be extra diligent when those times cause you to reflect on the loss of your husband Ron. Prayers for you both!

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I do treasure every second I had with Ron during those 75 days. He was the man I always loved. He was my husband. Those can never be taken away. We've had so many up down times. You know how all that comes flooding back to you. Most of all tho, I just treasure those 75 days and so do our children.

I just want everyone to know, there is always hope. Even short lived as it was. We had those 75 days.

Love and Blessings,
Kelly

I'm sorry I just now saw this. I can't even imagine how difficult this must be for you. Know that you are in my prayers every day, and so is the soul of your husband.

I'm so sorry, Kelly. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your children and all who loved him. Those last days were a gift, I think, a chance to see the beautiful person he really was.

Hugs

(((((((((((((((Kelly))))))))))))))))

You have my deepest condolences sweetie. Yes you did at least for those 75 days have "Ron" back. God let you have those last days so that you and your children will remember him as the husband and father that you married - not the man that he was.....before sobriety. What an amazing gift he gave you hunny. You must have been doing all the right things for a gift such as this and the only thing I can think of is that the man upstairs spared him from something worse down here. But at least he gave you your man back for those last 75 days. God Bless and keep you all safe.
