I'm Hopeful!

I have really good news. My husband has decided to get help again.
I haven't posted in about a week but it has been one heck of a week. Our daughter got sick and so did our son, I missed about the entire week of work to stay home with them. The combined stress of all of this and the worry for my husband caused me to get so tense that I was not able to move my head for about two days. But now everyone is better.
I spoke with my husband last Tuesday for the first time in a week and a half. He is staying with a alcohol/drug couseler and he is a tough one. Which is exactly what he needs. He can't b/s this guy. So I am very hopeful this might just work.
I was allowed to see him yesterday for about an hour. I really enjoy him when he is sober. I told him I'd much rather live without him for a little while and be able to live the rest of our lives together than to try to live with him now and be apart the rest of our lives.
I am just on cloud nine here. I had to tell someone.

Good for you guys! I have my fingers crossed for you PattiJo. Now that you've got the kids illnesses under control... do something nice for you? You had a hard week.

Hugs,
Smoke

Keep up the hope PattyJo !
the ups and downs keep us goin round and round.

But the one thing we know is we will keep getting
better and movin forward with our lives, its a sure thing
that workin our program keeps us on the right path.
To all of us with battle fatigue we fought the good fight
but the only way we "win " our little wars is with prayer
to our HP and practicing the 12 steps.

God Bless

PattyJo,

So glad to hear things are going good for you right now. Just enjoy the moment or the day. I'm trying to learn that myself and when I do put those words into practice, my life is so much better.

Hugs,

Thanks to all of you!

I just wanted to thank everyone.
It is so encouraging to be able to come here. It really helps to be able to contact others who understand. I really appreciate it.
