Cool Three weeks and waiting

Hi everyone me new here and i have been reading for about two weeks and all is very well .
I too have a ex alcoholic /addict girlfriend and it has the same familair story line.alcohole/cocaine/crack too herion .currently in recovery i think i hope told her to contact me in six months after she gets her self straitend up .Who knows .I feel the pain of all of you and say a prayer for us all
.I miss her very much and had to leave for my own sanity .
Of couires i did the same thing everybody does i emailed her with no response
after three emails she returned me one .Very short and plain .My mind gose wild
and of coures i must think that she needs to work on her self just as i have too .
It is very hard to walk away . So glad i found this forum it makes me feel that im not alone in this.It is very sad how a can of beer can come between two people
i never realized how powerful alcohole hehehe can be.
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON GOOD OR BAD BUT EVERYTHING ALWAYS TURNS OUT ALRIGHT
Happiness to you all Fritz

Welcome to SR, glad you are here.
Rehab is extremely difficult, nerve endings are screaming for a fix, the mind is flying in circles, but in a fog.
We do not know who we are or what we want. Pretty sad.

Keep coming back, Take what you can use and leave the rest.

under sticky's at the top where you started your thread thereis good reading, under classic reading is a list of good books.

Contestant No. 1: I'll take "Alcoholism" for $50.

Alec Trebeck: The answer is "Alcohole."

Contestant No. 1: "What do you call a person who puts on a shameful display after consuming too much liquor?"

Hi cronner. Welcome to SR.
Make yourself at home here, and don't forget that you don't have face this alone.
There are so many great people here who are glad to share their recovery with you.
