Al-Anon
So...last night I attended my first Al-Anon meeting; to help me deal with my brother's alcoholism, drug addiction, and verbal abuse. What an eye opening experience ! It's one thing to "know" that there are others "out there" experiencing the same things you are. It is quite another to sit in a room and hear story after story, face to face, from people who truly are in the same boat. For any one who suspects that a meeting of this sort might help you...try it ! I highly recommend it!

Another thing I found really helpful was attending Open AA meetings in the beginning....
We will never completely understand how an A thinks and feels.... but an Alcoholic will and they are more then willing to share in meetings from that point of view.
Glad you enjoyed it.
