Yes, and due to the size of the boat I would have to have my captains license to drive it..so thats likely why I had thought they were expensive...I will see..it may be worth it still

$195 for a Powerboat Certificate course, it seems. http:// www. asa.com/states/schools_florida.html

Or http:// cgauxdiv7-7.org/

Heck, I can only do boats with sails or little dinghys with tiny outboards. We're relying on you for next year, Sarah.

I'm still wondering how Jazz knows about picking guys up in the Coast Guard.

p.s. what's a little dinghy? I prefer big ones. I think.

I really didn't like to ask, Denny.

And Patty, you're sullying my thread. As a forfeit, you must post a picture of one of the aforementioned coastguard personnel. Male. In uniform.

Dang Minnie--- where the hell have I been???? Sorry I missed this. I do hope you enjoyed your trip away from "the real world"!!! I do know what you mean as I feel that way every time I return here from home or a visit to Florida. I feel pretty displaced here as the only "friend" I really have is my XMIL!!! LMAO. I'm lucky to have her though. Also, my new daily grind in the world of cubicles leaves something to be desired.

Florida, men in uniform, dingheys (big or small ) and Sarah's 48 footer!!!! Sounds like a plan to me! Sarah--- I'm sooooo jealous. I swear you're living my dream life. My next vehicle purchase will be a truck or jeep so that I can tow the boat that I eventually WILL have! You go girl!!

That's not a boat, that's a motor yacht!

So you live a block from the ocean and have a 48 ft motor yacht, and your 20 something?

What the heck am I doing wong?!?!?

I can pilot your boat, grew up around motor boats. I just can't afford the gas! LOL!!!

Is that Plan J, Jazz? Be Sarah's Skipper?

And I agree, 48ft is a biggie. Ours is only 36ft. But ours is a proper boat.

I hate the word yacht, it sounds so snotty...it is really sad that it doesnt get used. Gas is outrageous.

I will get some pics out of my laptop tonight from home and put em up..

I used to be the QUEEN of living beyond my means Jazz...THE QUEEN!
Plus, I was under the impression that all these things would make me a better person...duh..that was pre-recovery!

You could pick up plenty of men w/ that boat and don't even have to take it out of the slip. The only thing I have found is the boater life style tends to attract alcohol abusers... but you probably already knew that

And take it from me, a boat DOES make you a better person! LOL!!!!

It makes you a water lover
