Chat Now Available On Mobile Devices
Hello!
We've recently launched a feature that allows people to access the chat room from their Apple and Android mobile devices (phones and tablets). Up until now, the chat room wasn't available via mobile because it ran a software that wasn't compatible.
At the moment, the only room accessible is the main room, Recovery Connections. We may or may not be able to offer access to additional rooms because of technical challenges, but felt the priority was being able to give people at least the option of using chat on-the-go. Hopefully having access to chat from virtually anywhere through phones will help those particularly in times of great need to connect with others and get support.
The mobile option is currently only available via the desktop version of the forum (not the app)--so, to access chat from your phone, just visit soberrecovery.com/forums and click "Chat" in the navigation bar like you would on your computer.
Moderator powers are active in the app, though some display elements (e.g. colors designating mods), may be different or not appear. The mods still have their powers, though!
We've tested things out and everything seems to be working well. If you do run into technical issues, don't hesitate to post on this thread and we'll investigate the issues as soon as we can.
