Chat Members: Reporting and Handling Problems
Dear Friends,
The SR Mod Team's main goal is to accommodate all members of our recovery community, while trying to keep us safe and making sure that every voice is heard. Due to its live nature, the chatroom operation has certain challenges - as much as we'd like to, it's not always possible for us to keep constant watch over the chatroom proceedings in real-time. Therefore, we would like to ask for your cooperation to keep the chatroom running as smoothly as possible.
General reminder: our newcomers usually feel very vulnerable, and have many questions - please make them feel welcome by taking the time to listen to them; this should be a priority.
If you encounter a disagreeable situation, please be a part of the solution and not the problem. You can accomplish this by following these steps:
1. Don't partake in arguments, especially if they include flaming, insults or harassment, as described in our Forum General Principles and Rules. Remember that engaging in such behaviour is grounds for having your chat privileges and/or membership suspended or revoked. Keep in mind that the chatroom transcripts are subject to be reviewed at any time.

2. If there are no Monitors in the chatroom, please help us by reporting these situations immediately to any Forum Administrator, Leader, Mod, Greeter or Monitor; contact via PM, including a brief description of the situation. You can determine who is online by checking the member list at the top of the main forum page; if you can't locate anyone at the time, please send the PM to a Chat Monitor.
3. After reporting the situation, please disregard the members that brought it about by using the ignore function as needed - right-click on their username and select "Ignore".
Thank you for helping us
