My latest update

Hi

A little update on me...... I took in my great neice again. Her mother and the baby and the 5 year old went to a shelter yesterday. I took the six year old and my sister is keeping the 1 year old. Not sure what my goofy nephew is doing. I can't believe they are still in this situation. I will do what I can and pray that they can all be a family again soon. So you will probably see me in spurts although she is very good at amusing herself, I can still get "me" time.

Just figured I would give a little update. Hope everyone is well.

Talk to you all later.

Many hugs.
Love,
Debbie

Hi JT

She is doing fine. She loves being at my house, its like a party for her. She has this vivid imagination that is very entertaining.

I know things will be okay, just going to take some time. Thanks for the hugs and prayers

Many hugs.
Love,
Debbi

Hi Margo

She is a sweetie and we both enjoy having her here. Hubby is always on best behavior when there are children around.

We will enjoy her while we have her

Take care.
Many hugs.
Love,
Debbie

She's excited to be at your house - sort of like Christmas morning. So get up, put on some "toons and doze on the couch.
Oh yeah, give her some cereal with ice cream in it - kids LOVE that one.

I am not a morning person so those frozen breakfast meals work for me. Kids like to eat as soon as they wake up. What are they thinking? You're sound to sleep and there is a little face saying I'm hungry. Pop in a frozen breakfast and you can hold them off until you make the pancakes at 11am.

She is lucky to have you Deb.

Hugs,
MG

Barbiedeb,

You're such a great person. Your neice is very lucky to have you. I'm glad it's working out for you. You can really learn so much from kids. Just fill up a bowl with cheerios till you wake up. Kids love em. I have to eat something when I first wake up, but of course I'm probably the only alcoholic in recovery that doesn't drink coffee.

What a lucky aunt and girl! Isn't our HP the greatest??? You guys will learn so much together.... and this is a precious time that you will always remember.

Have a good time! I used to put cereal in a tupperware on the counter and a small cup/lid with milk in the frig so mine could make their own breakfast. They felt grown up and I felt a bit less CRANKY when I got to sleep past 6 am!

HUGS

Hi all

Thanks for all the kind words. Its appreciated, truly. We are having fun. She doesn't like it when I get in mother mode though (clean up, homework, etc). And of course I've been worrying about the bus stop since its been so bitter cold here but she is surviving. We all are!!

Many hugs to you all.
Love,
Debbie
