A message from NoCellPhone to SR group....
Im back from my whirlwind trip down the turnpike visiting NCP and his menagerie of zoo-illogical animals.
Let me give you a visual of what he has been going thru with the hurricane and being without power for 6 days........
This is him with his very important and necessary jock strap/coal minors light firmly affixed to his head. He refused to remove it from his head during our visit, lest a sudden attack of darkness should hit. He is nothing if not prepared.
He is holding his pet *****, Caramel, a cat which is lovely to look at, but not for too long, or else she will hiss like a snake and make you call for your Mommy.
I printed out everyones posts and he read all 15 of them, and was greatly grateful that you all rememberd and support him. He played the guitar and we sang together, and he taught my son some guitar stuff. It was so wonderful to hang with him, he really brightened our day.
Later, I will tell you about the many pets he lives with.....more to be revealed!

I came into this late I guess. FOB and NCP, glad you both survived that hurricane and are ok! The light, the man who checked my furnace had one and he said "now this is a true 'headlight'!" hehehehee I love the cat, I think she is protective it looks like :-)

I called NCP last night, got voicemail, so still think he doesnt have electricity. THis would make day 8 without it. Poor dude.
I will post more when I hear from him.....and yes, his cat is a cutie and he is very attached to her......uncommonly so, if you know what I mean?

Do not---I repeat, do NOT---do that (uh, oh--now I'm in trouble. I sense that FoB just loooooooooooooves a challenge...).
Hi, everybody! I'm alive and well, and am back with electricity since midnight before last. That made it ten days of living like we're Amish. Had we gone a day or two longer, I was seriously considering trading in my car for a horse-n-buggy and going into the butter-churning business, neither of which would go very well with my vegan lifestyle...
I was truly touched by all your warm wishes and sentiments. I sometimes fail to realize that I am cared about and that people might miss me when I'm not around. Damn you, low self-esteem, cornerstone of the disease of alcoholism!!! I stick my tongue out at you!!!
(at least I think that's a tongue. Could be drool... I guess that would go with those pics of me looking like a junkie)
It's good to be back, and I look forward to catching up with y'all and hijacking... er, I mean posting where I can!
