relapse?????
Hi Everyone,
I think my boyfriend is going to have a relapse. He is right off the wall this week. We were supposed to go to his place tonight but because he is in such a bad space we didn't go. I'm powerless over this I know. He's right where he is supposed to be at this moment. But still it's hard not to worry. But he's brought it all on himself by refusing to go to meetings and do his program.
This weekend my son and I are going up to Ontario to the Highland Games. I've booked us into a hotel with a heated pool,jacuzzi,restaurant,cable T.V. We're going to have a pizza party one of the nights and watch a movie.
Then we're heading up to Ottawa to see a museum and staying over in Ottawa.
Hopefully I'll get in some A.A meetings while we're gone.

I just finished talking to him on the phone, actually he called twice while I was at my alanon sponsors.
And on the phone it's I miss you and sorry I didn't let you come down and I love you blah blah blah blah.
That's all fine and dandy but it's important for him to experience the NATURAL consequences of his behavior of not working his program and getting into this state.
And one is I don't have to or want to be there when he is like this.
And I hate to say it but as I said to my sponsor tonight I really have no sympathy for him. I feel he's put himself there so he has to live through it.
I don't know if that sounds pR%$^y but that is how I feel about it.

Well we're off on our trip,talk to everyone next week.

He's going to have to own it himself.
He's all insecure now and wants reasurance about our relationship and my reasurance response was: work on yourself,get back into program.
