Hi Everyone, hope everyone is keeping well. Clean now 31 days after my relapse of a week. Felt very guilty and was keeping my head down with shame. Anyway, I'm back on 31 days clean now and feeling better every day. Eating well, busy in work and sleeping well. I wish I got more exercise tough. I have signed up on SR Quit smoking app also and hope that helps too !! as really need to quit smoking cigerettes. Back in Saudi working again and next break is Christmas, next time I return home I will have a better plan and stick to it, gotta learn from my mistakes!! Good to be back

I did think the enforced (Saudi) sobriety would be an issue (and I’m not happy at all to be proved right). Well done on 31 and you definitely need to plan for the Christmas break.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your replies, it really is a super forum and I always feel so so welcome and at home here Thank you. I've been busy at work all week, hence delay in replying...I'm off tomorrow (Friday is their holy day here) and going hiking in the mountains here in Saudi, its a works event, with BBQ and hill walking, looking forward to it. No thinking about the demon drink these days and looking forward to a dry Christmas with family. Hope everyone is keeping well and staying poison free, take care and God Bless. Hello Paddy. Congratulations on your return! I know the shame that comes with relapse and how it can convince you to stay low and away from people who can help. So glad to know that there are places like this where we'll support, encourage, root for each other. I too am looking forward to sober holidays. They're quite magical (and bonus - you remember them). Hope to read more of your updates.

Hi Lanterns, thanks very much for your reply and kind words. Yes, Christmas will not be long now, I will be off for 2 weeks and will bring my family to some nice places in Ireland, I cannot wait. So, its head down and work hard until then. It will also be good for my wife who works very hard when I'm away with my kids with school runs, cooking, homework, and sports that they do etc. etc. she is so good. Everything is really coming into clearer prospective day by day now, funny thing is my PAWS symptoms have gone away apart from headache now and again, but that's only when I have a bad sleep. I did have 90 days plus clean before my relapse and on about 37 days clean now, so happy and cannot wait for my break, I will cherish every minute with my family. Thanks Viking GF I'm still going strong, forgot how many days now..which is great...must check my diary tomorrow but around 40 days poison free. Feeling good, few problems sleeping but know that will settle down. Also cravings for chocolate...eat little bit of dark everyday. Feeling good 👍 night from Red Sea zzzzzzzzz
