Abstinence
So, today I've hit Year 3 of full sobriety. After many years--and many failures--of trying to moderate, schedule my drinking, quit, etc, it finally clicked. I had to make a life changing decision.
In retrospect, I learned that the elusive pieces to a drunkard's puzzle are Abstinence, Commitment, and Effort. These are my pillars---along with tools, like AA and an alcoholism program, which really helped me.
So today, I'm all in on remaining sober. The benefits are huge.
