Almost Eight Months

...and my old coworker / supervisor called me earlier this week to offer me an engineering position at our old place of employment.
I accepted the offer and gave them a number on the high end for my requested compensation. They accepted and offered me the job.

Um - I don't know what I would have done if I was still drinking. I probably would have got drunk and said something through text message completely inappropriate and ruined the whole thing. But I don't do that any more

The job pays 40% more per year than I have ever made. I look forward to investing the extra money wisely and paying off my dad's house so he doesn't have to worry about bills so much in retirement.

I am so glad I am sober.

Congratulations on your sober time! Life works itself out as long as one is sober and recovering in my experience 🙏

Awesome to hear. I'm not sober for the money, but drinking certainly held back my career, and sobriety seems like its not going to do anything but get it on track, at least so far.
