14 months now
Hi everyone,
I'm happy to still be sober, working and still piecing my life back together. I'm done with court and now just need to complete the requirements my lawyer worked out for me. I still have decisions I need to make, but right now I'm just happy to be clear headed. I never expected to go this long without a drink. I mean since I started drinking I made it 9 rough months of not drinking. Felt like I was going insane during that time frame. This time around I can say I don't even have the urge or the obsession of that first drink let a long any alcohol. I remember the gut wrenching mornings, dry heaving, throwing up blood, stints in the hospital, losing jobs, cars and especially my mind. I never want to go back to feeling like that, and I know I don't have to. I appreciate everyone whos given me advice a long the way during my journey.
Thank you to SR

Congratulations on 14 months getright! You're an old-timer now when it comes to staying sober.
Your posts have always been very honest and if you are honest with yourself then the way forwards to getting sober and having a better life is clearer. Congratulations once again.
