Quickly, good news.

Hi all, I FINALLY got a full time decent job. Could not be happier. I start August 3rd, and this is a game changer. The 800lb gorilla is off my back. Jeff

Congratulations on the job!

Sobriety will be a critical key to excelling and keeping it—cut the two day a week drinking if you haven’t already.
As you have said to yourself and others, moderation isn’t possible for people like us.

That is great news Jeff. Maybe just the push you need to once and for all give up the drink, including the Friday-Night-And-All-Day-Saturday-Moderation plan. I am very happy for you.

Great news. I don't believe I would have been able to get sober (or at least not when I did) without my job situation changing dramatically. While I believe that at this point external factors won't ever push me to drink, I needed a more stable playing field to get started. Hope that is the case for you..good luck.
