Made it through weekend one

Yesterday was difficult. I had a lot of "tired" triggers. Woke up today and had a brief vague feeling of optimism. I could not have felt that if I was hungover. I'm so glad I didn't take a hard time and make it worse. I did have a dream though that I did. Still on track. Hopefully a new and different one.

Congratulations Ishmael for getting through the weekend. The weekends are toughest for me. Only on day 2 right now.

Glad you made it through the weekend. They were a real trigger for me, too.
Hang in there, it gets easier.

Great news Ishmael, it is a different track, I’ve read that every time you ignore the triggers, new neural pathways are formed in the brain, that support non-drinking, instead of the current habituated drinking supporting path in the brain. If you search SR you’ll find a thread explaining Urge Surfing, which can be used when you encounter a trigger. It was posted by Dee74.

Good job- I will take a brief vague feeling of optimism over physical sickness and dread on a Monday morning.

Awesome
