You have to keep on going as well, dear Mummy. I don't know what's wrong but it is nothing that can't be helped, and nothing that alcohol will make better. I was the bottom of the barrel. I was one of the 'unfortunates' that the Big Book talks about. It sounds cliche, but if I can do it, you can. Please, whatever is up, let us help. We care.

Mummy
Please let us support you, too. I lurked here for years without posting, struggling in silence. You have a community here that cares about you and understands! We’ve all walked the same road, had the same ups and downs, and more downs. You CAN do this!

Mummy, you cancelled your doctors appointment, now you’re bidding us goodbye, which means that your AV has got you where it wants you, as it’s slave, pouring drink down your throat, to feed it. Please reconsider and stay awhile, even if you don’t wish to post on the threads, perhaps PM some folks whose journeys resonate? You deserve to give yourself a chance, as Mummy to two lovelies, don’t you?

I first joined a while back but I've been reading your posts for a week or two now. I have 8 days sober today! You were one of the first people who's posts I read when I logged in last week. Your posts are so encouraging and made me feel like someone really understood my exact position.
I also have a little one I'm trying to get better for. I'm sure you can call and reschedule your doctors appt!

I wish you well, too, Mummy, and I know that you can stop drinking.

Don't listen to your head Mummy.

Stay.. As long as there is breath in your body , there is hope.

I really thought I was a hopeless case. Nothing could stop me drinking. Nothing. I have now been sober 17 months. That is a miracle. If I can do this so can you my dear.

You are sick not bad and the good news is you can get well.

Sending you prayers, strength and courage

🙏❤🙏

You said in another post its in the genes. Even if thats true - and thats open to debate - there are thousands of members here to prove that you can still get sober and stay that way.

I'm sorry you lost your brother - but how much more of a tragedy would it be if you lost yourself too?

Your family needs you Mummyto2 - fight this thing - you know those tales of mums lifting cars to save their kids - love is powerful.

I reckon you can at least be strong enough to beat this

rebook that appointment and start looking around for other things to add to your recovery programme.

Fight this with everything you have.
Fight for your life - you can do this

D

your name is mommy of 2 what a blessing not one child but two. i have no children and sometimes i feel bless for it when i heard the mothers in here fighting lawyers and courts to keep their children because this is what is going to come to.

you are going to get sober eventually why not avoid extra pain do you want to lose your children, genetically or not no one is going to feel sorry for you. the young people come first.

you see you are an adult and last time i hear no one is coming to safe you genetically or not this is nor the big C mommy.

get help to help you or you will lose everything you love because right now you are not good for yourself image another soul.

You deserve the same! We were not put on this earth to be stuck in the hell of active alcoholism, but due to our actions; that is where we found ourselves. Our actions can also lead us out of hell. Even baby steps can result in the completion of a 26 mile marathon, if we take enough of them in succession. Keep going Mummyto2.

MT2 we are all with you, many of us have hit lows of desperation and emerged from the hopelessness in a way we would not have thought possible. I really feel for you, here to help....

I hope you decide to rebook that doctor appointment, and to stick around on SR as you work on your recovery.
