Thank you SR - Two years sober!
Two weeks ago, I got two years of being sober and today I got the results of bloodwork and liver ultrasound (all 100% normal which I didn't expect!). Life is good. While I'm not very active at SR these days, this forum was very important in the early days (and even more so during the long try-moderate-fail-cycle that I kept going for years before I accepted that I can't moderate).
Everyone's journey is different and I don't feel experienced enough to give good advice, but if this post will give some of you hope that this can be done, it would make me happy. Sober life is so much easier and richer than being stuck in the drunk-hangover-regret prison of drinking.

Winner - it worked!
Congratulations on two years! I realize that many folks who succeed at sobriety/recovery often fade away from this forum. I just hope that occasionally you keep come back occasionally and check in with us who are still visiting regularly. For me old member posts are very encouraging. Thanks!

Congrats!!!!
I find success stories very uplifting, and stories of failed moderation very ... instructive.
I find the full-spectrum exposure of the reality of the drinking life to be necessary, and that's what we have on SR.

Nice! Congrats on your sobriety and the medical stuff is ACES! I'm jealous, and look forward to my next blood work so I can (hopefully) see progress! I'm not yellow as a banana anymore, so I think there must be improvement...
