Over a year now
Hi Everyone,
I can't believe I've been sober for over a year. I actually don't miss alcohol. I think of it every now and again but I don't want it. I know not everyone likes AA but it has helped me a great deal. It is a wonderful community.
I hope I don't ever drink again. That was hell. But I am learning to really take it one day at a time. Some days it is one hour at a time.
I have no advice to give except for don't give up hope. Thank all of you for your support.

That's great news! I'm one of the people who like AA. It saved my life. Literally.
The longer I am sober, the less I miss alcohol. Now, after ten years sober, I can't even imagine drinking.
I'm not a good drunk. But sober anything is possible.
Keep it up, it only gets better.
