lowered my medication

I lowered my medication without without psychiatrist. Well so I did and after months with very few closed eye hallucinations they have increased common thing. So before this gets a lot worse I'm going to increase it back up to what I was taking when it was not happening so much barely at all.

It's never a good idea to adjust meds without talking to a doctor. I know so many people who wound up in the hospital over this (me- but I only stopped taking them or changed the dose for financial reasons).

My doc gives me leeway to ebb and flow, based on how I am feeling and how stressful my life is from time to time.

If I get some breakthrough depression, I take a lot of my SSRI for a few days, and it goes away.

I was on meds a pretty good while, though, before I began tinkering with the dosage a little.

I would be very circumspect about doing this, DSM, if you have only been on the current regimen and dosage briefly.

We've got to keep our sobriety first and take care of ourselves.

Yeah, I’m actually seeing a Dr. that likes to prescribe less than more types of medicine and it has been a huge detriment. My psychologist, myself, and my family feel I need to be on a mood stabilizer so we are going to approach my Dr. about it this week. ALWAYS work with your Dr. on this kind of stuff. You are always your best advocate. Good luck!
